Moving Forward in 2012!

I know, I know, once again I've been slacking on postings here but suppose it's a good thing because I've been too busy just living life, keeping up with the boys and trying to enjoy them as much as I can. I feel busier than ever as the boys are growing up and getting into more and more things. Since the Fall we've enjoyed some school programs for Eddie, many special days with Will while Eddie's at school, a special trip to Disney World for Eddie (his first time there), camping trips, & all that goes into preparing for Christmas and the arrival of many family members here to celebrate Christ's birth!
Looking onward to 2012, trying my hardest not to stand still but move forward with life and doing all that God is calling me to do. Many times in my past I feel that life has passed me by while I've stood still and not done my part to keep up...felt a bit like I was wearing concrete shoes. Wanting to be a better mom, better wife and the best me. The verse that I'm currently looking to for a daily reminder of this is "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you oh Lord" Psalm 19:14. As I know I have already fallen short this year I will not give up, I will continue to look forward and move forward!! Here, a few updated pictures of our family.

Trick or Treat, Pumpkin Patch & Fall Fun

It's been a busy fall trying to enjoy every possible fall activity that we can. We've enjoyed picking our pumpkins at the local pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, fall festivals and trick or treating! We even managed to have a wonderful trip to Disney's Magic Kingdom with Eddie, for his first visit. My Dad joined us for this special trip and really made it all possible and helped us do it up really great. Staying a great Hilton hotel near the park for 2 nights and a full day at the park was very magical to watch Eddie having so much fun. More posts to come on that trip.

Step Right UP! Celebrating Eddie & Will!

Had a fun time celebrating both boy's birthdays this year with a circus themed party. there were lots of fun decorations to go along with it. I personally enjoyed having my mom here for the occasion and her helping hands were very much appreciated! Can't believe I now have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Having lots of fun with my boys and loving them more than ever! I hope to get back in the groove of blogging...it's been a long break!

Spring is in the air

With the weather warming we've been trying to find ways to cool off in the Florida heat already. Today we enjoyed some time on the slip and slide and our neighbor with a great camera stopped by to snap some photos...here are his photos.

Sweet William

I often feel guilty because Will always has an older brother to share in the spotlight. He'll never know what it feels like to be the "only" child as Eddie did for 2 years. So, here's my blog post designated to my Sweet William. I call him my "Sweet William" because he is most of the time simply that...sweet! Among other nicknames he has like love bug, stinky, Wills, Will-I-AM and many many more depending on the day. His personality is really shining through these days, he loves to have fun, play with his big brother and follow in his lead. His favorite toys include balls, musical toys, & mom & dad, of course. He loves to dance, loves animals, when worship music is on he will raise his hands in the air and praise the Lord, and I'm convinced he will grow to do great things! I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON Will! xoxoxoxoxo

My Boys

Life is fleeting, years rush past…
and little boys grow up so fast.
Let me take time out to be
thankful mine is still here with me.
And though I am busy through the day,
let me take the time to play…
Let me take the time out to smile,
to sit with him just for a while…
Let me take time out for walks,
for swings and sports and quiet talks.
For sharing giggles, tickles and hugs,
for patching knees and catching bugs.
For running races, climbing trees,
for helping with his A, B, Cs…
For hatching plots and planning schemes,
for listening to his thoughts and dreams.
Let me tuck him in at night,
hear his prayers, turn off the light.
And when my busy day is done,
let me thank God I have a son.

Will is a Walkin'

Although Will took his first steps back at Halloween, over the past 2 weeks he's really gotten the hang of it and is cruzin' pretty quick on his little feet. He's so fun to watch....constant entertainment. Sometimes I feel like I have a pet monkey in the house! He wants to do everything Eddie does, he loves his big brother so much!
Eddie is excited for Christmas but wants nothing to do with this Santa character. The other day Santa came up to him at the store and he bolted like I've never seen him before! The following day he told me...mommy, I don't want Santa to come to our house, I don't like mustaches. This year Eddie is asking for a pet dog and a magnifying glass. This year, only one of those wishes will be coming true. Not ready for another family member yet.
We recently had family photos taken so I'll share a few of those for those of you who didn't see them yet.
